Who we are
Letters From The Stars is a trading name of Auraa LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Auraa LLC is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@getlettersfromthestars.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address.
- Birth details for your reading: the name to write to, date of birth, time of birth (or the fact that you're unsure of it) and place of birth.
- Postal address for your envelopes.
- Gifts: the recipient's name, email address and your gift message.
- Subscription records: your plan, payments, skipped months, the letters written for you and the keepsakes sent.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference, never your full card number.
Why we use it
- To write your readings and post your envelopes.
- To run your subscription: payments, renewals, skips, pauses and cancellations.
- To send emails about your account, such as sign-in links, receipts and gift notices.
- To answer your questions and keep accurate records for tax and legal reasons.
For customers in the UK and European Union, we rely on the contract with you to provide the subscription, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service. We only send news and offers if you tick the box to receive them when you subscribe or in your account. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
Who sees your information
- Our astrologers see only the name and birth details for the letters given to them. They never see your email, address or payment details.
- Our team sees what it needs to run subscriptions and post envelopes.
- Service providers who work for us: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting and data storage), Resend (sending emails) and the postal service (delivery).
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, with safeguards required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your subscription is active and for 2 years after it ends, then delete it, except records we must keep longer for tax or legal reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Customers in California also have the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete or correct it; we do not sell or share personal information. Most details can be changed in your account; for anything else, write to hello@getlettersfromthestars.com. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in to your account. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
Our service is not for people under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
Your information is sent over encrypted connections, sign-in uses one-time links instead of stored passwords, and only the people who need it can see it.

If we change this notice, we'll update this page and, for important changes, email subscribers.
