Terms of service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Who we are

Letters From The Stars is a trading name of Auraa LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. You can reach us at hello@getlettersfromthestars.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Auraa LLC, trading as Letters From The Stars, and "you" means the person who subscribes.

2. What you receive

Each month you receive an envelope by post with two personalised horoscope letters, an art print, an affirmation card, two stickers and a stamp. Readings are Vedic and are written by experienced astrologers from the name and birth details you give us.

Readings are written to encourage reflection. They explore possibilities rather than promise outcomes, and they are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

3. Who can subscribe

You must be 18 or older to subscribe. When you subscribe for someone else as a gift, you confirm you have their permission to share their details with us, or you choose to let them add their own.

4. Plans, prices and automatic renewal

Every plan starts with your first month free. After that:

Prices are in US dollars. Addresses outside the United States pay an international postage charge, shown at checkout: $2 for the free first month, then $2 a month on the monthly plan, $7 per 6 months, or $12 per year. Sales tax is added where it applies.

Your subscription renews automatically. At the end of each period we charge the card you gave us the same plan price, and keep doing so until you cancel. Your account always shows your plan, the next payment date and the amount.

Free first month: we take your card when you subscribe and charge nothing for the first month, except $2 international postage for addresses outside the United States. When it ends, we charge the price of the plan you chose, then on each renewal after that, unless you cancel before the free month ends.

Before a yearly plan renews, we email you a reminder with the renewal date and price.

5. Cancelling, skipping and pausing

You can cancel at any time in your account, under Billing, plan or cancel. Cancelling stops future payments; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and envelopes you have paid for are still sent. You can also skip next month's envelope, or pause a monthly plan, from your account. See our cancellation and refund policy.

6. Your details

Please keep your birth details and postal address correct. Changes made by the monthly cutoff (the 25th of each month) apply to the next envelope; later changes apply the month after. If you're unsure of your birth time, your astrologer writes from the details you have.

7. Gifts

The person who buys a gift pays for it and manages its billing. Once the recipient adds their own birth details and address, those details belong to the recipient. Gift subscriptions end after the period bought; they don't renew.

8. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and we let you know; envelopes are held until the payment goes through.

9. Delivery

We post every envelope from the United States. See our shipping and delivery policy for timings, international delivery and what happens if an envelope goes missing.

10. Your letters and our artwork

Your letters, artwork and keepsakes are for your personal use. The designs, artwork and text remain ours, and may not be copied or sold.

11. Our responsibility to you

What a reading is. Our letters are personal astrological readings, written to encourage reflection and to be enjoyed. They are not a substitute for professional advice. Please don't rely on a reading for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions; speak to a qualified professional for those.

What we promise. We'll write and post your letters with care, as described on our website and in these terms. If something goes wrong on our side, such as a missing or damaged envelope, we'll put it right as set out in our shipping policy and cancellation and refund policy.

What we can't be responsible for. We aren't responsible for delays or losses caused by postal services or customs once an envelope has been posted, for events outside our reasonable control, or for decisions you make based on a reading.

Limit of our responsibility. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and, for important changes, email subscribers before they take effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.
